CENIZAS I ASHES

Para enriquecer los nutrientes y matar posibles plagas, los agricultores preparan la tierra haciendo una quema de restos de poda. De esta forma empieza la pieza, quemando cartón y obteniendo ceniza que irá adherida a cada tarjeta.

Las tarjetas tienen la forma y dimensiones parecidas a los chapines. Unidades o cuadros recortados de tierra fértil, donde se hace un agujero para colocar las semillas de los cultivos. Cada tarjeta contiene semillas, de la cual germinará una planta que puede ser trasplantada y cuidada por los espectadores.

La escultura como un bloque modular, irá cambiando de forma al instante que los espectadores tomen de una en una las tarjetas. Esta proposición hará que la estructura se destruya a través de los días.

To enrich the nutrients and kill possible pests, farmers prepare the soil by burning pruning waste. This is how the piece begins, burning cardboard and obtaining ash that will be attached to each card.

The cards have the shape and dimensions similar to the chapines. Units or squares cut out of fertile soil, where a hole is made to place the seeds of crops. Each card contains seeds, from which a plant will germinate and can be transplanted and cared for by the spectators. The sculpture, like a modular block, will change shape as the spectators pick up the cards one by one. This proposal will cause the structure to be destroyed as the days go by.
